Where we describe a process, an entitlement or a way of saving money, we are describing how it generally works – not promising a result. Eligibility, amounts, deadlines and terms vary by provider, by location and over time, and the decision always rests with the body operating the scheme.
What we do not cover
We deliberately stay out of some subjects, including: investment, tax or legal advice, or recommending specific securities; endorsing specific credit cards, loans or financial products; promoting debt, payday loans or buy-now-pay-later as a saving strategy; naming specific stores, apps or brands as recommendations or claiming specific prices or discounts; promising specific dollar savings to the reader; extreme couponing, dumpster diving or anything unsafe or legally grey.
